Alvin..I never thought of my neighborhood as being "high class". It was simply "where I grew up" and enjoyed my surroundings as much as any other Bronx kid from anywhere in The Bronx! If anything sounds "high class", it certainly would NOT be "HIGHngo Seek", but rather "Hide and Seek", the "proper way" it was called (and pronounced) in YOUR neighborhood, Alvin!

You are absolutely correct! Depending on the number of players (no more than ten) our game lasted a much shorter time (about 20 to 30 minutes) than your game. My block had all private two-family homes with driveways, backyards, porches, stoops and small gardens with hedges along the sidewalk. We had LOTS of places to hide, but you had MANY MORE, especially with the apartment buildings on your block. Also, more kids participated, making the game last much longer than ours.
