In the mid 60's a very close friend of mine had been working for Ma Bell (phone Co). He was a splicer & since he was a newbee he didn't get the choice jobs. He would have to go into the basement's of the tenements in the South BX. & repair the wires the rats had for lunch. One job at about 138th St. & Willis he had to repair several lines. As he was looking for the control panel he noticed that there was a makeshift cinderblock wall in front of it. as he was removing the wall a human body fell out. Rather than working on the bad lines so as not have to go back for a while he repaired all the lines in the building. After he finished he replaced all of the contents that were behind the wall & put the cinderblocks back the way they he found them. I asked him how he filled out his work report for the day. All he wrote down was "Removed temp wall, repaired all the lines, replaced all the items back where they were & Replaced the wall. I sweare this is a true story.
