To anyone who is not familiar with ancient lore, Hebrew is an ancient tongue which was obviously the language of the Hebrews many eons ago. If you recall, the Hebrews were the people led out of Egypt to the promised Land by Moses. I suggest you refer to the Old Testament for more precise information. It is surprising that so many do not realize that these facts, simply stated by me, who certainly is not a Talmudic scholar, have been available for all to read and learn after a few thousand years. Yiddish is a derivative of a number of European languages.I hope this brief dissertaion is enlightening for you.
